I am seriously getting tired of the bad news... revered author and illustrator Maurice Sendak has passed on at 83. Complications from a stroke took one of our more gifted authors, Sendak is most widely known for "Where the Wild Things Are." Here is a nice write up on Maurice and his career.
It seems only fitting....
And he sailed off through night and day
and in and out of weeks
and almost over a year
to where the wild things are.
